Later Swedish Regiment post 1696

By this period the tactics had reverted back to Salvo and charge used in the Thirty Years War. Due to the extensive use of mounted forces by Sweden’s enemies the ratio of 2:1 for muskets to pikes was maintained. This was in contradiction to the rest of Western Europe which has moved to a 5:1 ratio.

This means that the Swedish regiments will be acceptable to taking losses during the approach to salvo and charge range. In normal circumstances the Swedish will have an overwhelming advantage at impact. Under the rules I will be able to detach out pairs of these regiments to provide a large unit of musketeers and a small supporting unit of pikemen.
